Meet Byte.

Byte is Bytearium's AI mascot: a curious cube who plays Minecraft to learn how to survive in it. Byte sees the world through a real Minecraft client, has a memory and no cheats, and runs on machines in our home rather than in a cloud. The stream is called “Can an AI Survive Minecraft?”; Season 1 started on 8 September 2026. Right now Byte is on a break and will return with a fresh world. When the player shows a pause screen, the tech is down, and we say so.

How you play along

The Twitch chat has tickets, and they are free: !prompt hint gives Byte a tip, !prompt challenge a task, !prompt troll is allowed to mess with Byte. !ticket shows your ticket balance and !help explains the commands. A !recap command to summarize recent events is planned. Whether Byte follows a tip is Byte's call. A weekly vote on what Byte tries next is planned; its result is intended to become a ticket. Twitch first, YouTube alongside; we don't promise dates.
